B2C and B2B website of the largest Internet provider covering 92% of Novosibirsk and having half a million subscribers.

Goal
To develop an updated website with a comfort CMS.
We have been working with Electronic City since 2012, and the company is not standing still — it's time to update.

The project took first place on «Golden site 2019» in nomination «The best site in the Siberian Federal District».

The client has contacted us with ready-made design developments. Some layouts were already drawn, and we had to assemble by ourselves the other ones, keeping certain style and using ready-made elements, if possible.

When the website was almost ready and filled, Electronic City completely updated its identity.

We did not change the website structure, but we had to work hard — to update on both websites most of the interactive elements and all icons for the new visual image of the brand.

We decided to use 1C-Bitrix as CMS. One of the important arguments when choosing is to easily edit any content in the «edit mode», even without switching the interface on CMS.

We made a few more useful features to make website updating even more convenient:
  • Feedback form builder. Allows creating a form with necessary fields and advanced settings; place it on any page or in a pop-up window.
  • Page designer. Helps to quickly create new pages by composing them from pre-installed templates (we made ≈30 unique pre-created templates).
  • UI-kit. Set of elements for the content design: all variations of the headings, lists, quotes, buttons, and so on.

On B2C and B2B websites, the same grid is used, most of the functions are repeated, they differ only in color and content. Therefore, we made both websites on the same Bitrix core. This allowed us to significantly reduce the time and cost of development, and make further support more convenient. We make all edits in one place and all necessary changes on both websites at once.

We performed fine setting up of the project server side:
  • We designed and implemented a micro service architecture with 4 containers in Docker to improve the security and fault tolerance of the server.
  • We launched a continuous deployment mechanism to roll out site updates without any downtime.
Of course, we cannot do without automation:
  • Requests from the website are sent via API to the self-written CRM (in the designer, you can choose where to send — to API or to email).
  • TV program is updated daily via xml.
  • Checking the status of your home’s Internet connection works via json.

After the launch, we continue supporting the website: we monitor the correct operation, help with content improvements and updates, set up triggers in Google Tag Manager, connect Data Management Platform and start marketing in Yandex and Google.
